The show at the 700 capacity venue will be the band's only US date this summer, although there are plans afoot for a full US tour in the autumn. In addition to slots at Pinkpop, T In The Park, and the Reading/Leeds festivals, the band will also perform at Al Gore's Live Earth concert in London on July 7. "I'm personally excited that we're going to be a part of the Live Earth show," frontman Johnny Borrell said in a statement. "I went to the cinema to see 'An Inconvenient Truth' with my mates when it was released and I walked out afterwards thinking that I had to do something. When we got the call to join the bill for the London show, it was really a no-brainer." Razorlight play the Gramercy Theatre on May 1. Watch this space for an announcement of the band's forthcoming US tour. |
